Welcome to our website. We want to encourage and support you to find hep C treatment in an environment that is welcoming, safe and without judgement. Our website has information on where to get treatment, who to contact if you would like more information, and if you are a doctor looking at our site, how you can get the information you need in order to offer treatment.

New hep C treatments have almost no side effects, and have a cure rate of 97% and above. We support the Hep C Cure Campaign to help make Cairns Hep C Free by 2020:

experienced general practitioners and nurse practitioners can now prescribe
community pharmacies can dispense
fully subsidised for all
8 - 12 weeks treatment
usual prescription fees apply ($6.80 per month for someone on a Healthcare Card, $39.50 without a Healthcare Card)
anyone with hep C is eligible regardless of their level of liver disease
all welcome, regardless of drug use, alcohol use, social or mental health needs
You can be treated more than once if you get it again, or start again if you didn't complete treatment.

We are community partners in the Cairns Hep C Cure Campaign (an extension of Cairns Hep C Free by 2020) along with Cairns Sexual Health Service and the Cairns Hospital Liver Clinic. Many of the images on our website are supplied by the campaign.
